Default Key Fob

Intermittently when we get into our Lexus NX 200t the key fob seems to go haywire and the mirrors turn down and the drivers seat goes all the way back and the seat back reclines all the way. We're replaced the battery in the key fob and it still happens. Anyone else have this issue and how did you fix it?

The fobs can be linked to the memory position buttons so that opening the door
will move everything to your preferred spots. Try pressing each of the memory
buttons one at a time with the car running but in park. This will show if and where
each memory is set. (Warning - if the position is extremely close to the wheel you
will have to Quickly touch the seat controls to stop the "StarWars Trash Compactor"
scene!). From you symptoms it seems that the position is way out of whack and
when triggered by the key... Just move the seat/wheel/mirrors to this seasons best
fit and then hold memory button "Set" and while still holding it press "1" until you hear
a beep.
Tying a key to the memory buttons is done by having just one key fob in the car and
pressing and holding "1". While holding "1" you press the inside door button "unlock"
until you hear a chirp. If you would like to untie the fob then have just one key in the
car and press and hold "set" while pressing unlock.

I'll check this out. It's intermittent though, so not really sure what's up.

So if you wanted to set a fob to the #2 seat position, you would do that procedure but hit the #2button and the door unlock?

I'll give it a try. It does seem out of whack. Thanks!!

This is from the manual, and might add clarity (or confusion):
Memory recall function
Each electronic key (including a card key) can be registered to recall your preferred
driving position.
■ Registering procedure
Record your driving position to button “1”, “2” or “3” before performing the
following:
Carry only the key you want to register, and then close the driver’s door.
If 2 or more keys are in the vehicle, the driving position cannot be recorded
properly.
Check that the shift lever is in P.
Turn the engine switch to IGNITION ON mode.
Recall the driving position that you want to record.
While pressing the recalled button,
press and hold the door lock
switch (either lock or unlock) until
the buzzer sounds.
If the button could not be registered,
the buzzer sounds continuously for
approximately 3 seconds.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
■ Recalling the driving position using the memory recall function
● Different driving positions can be registered for each electronic key. Therefore, the
driving position that is recalled may be different depending on the key being carried.
● If a door other than the driver’s door is unlocked with the smart access system with
push-button start, the driving position cannot be recalled. In this case, press the driving
position button which has been set.

Just found out that when your wife drops the fob into the dog's bowl of water, and you retrieve same promptly, the internal rubber gasket separating the buttons from the hardware will provide protection. Whew!

Now I'm off to follow the steps outlined by Jim256

Hahaha, if your dog's bowl is the same as mine, you've got to make sure someone doesn't flush it before retrieving the fob!
