Just purchased a 2018 NS 300 Canadian Executive package last week and there are 2 things that I am finding strange:
1. Phone: when you press the Call button on the steering wheel, nothing is displayed in the main screen – only the past calls show up in the multi-information display.
2. HUD: while the HUD correctly displays the directions when you make sharp left or right turns, it does not display the direction of turnings slightly left or right – for example, when you are driving on a highway, directions to an exit ramp are not displayed. To me – that defeats the entire purpose of using HUD for navigation.
Spoke to the dealer – they tried the phone button on their demo car and came back and said their demo car also does not display the phone screen and so this must be something new in the 2018 model. The navigation manual however very clearly it says you should be able to display the phone screen by either pressing the call button on the steering wheel. Regarding the HUD – they think that how it is suppose to operate.
I am wondering if anyone has had similar experience.

You are correct in that when you press the phone answering button on the steering wheel it does display the previous calls on the multi-information display and not in the main screen as the manual states. Must be an error in the owners manual? Regarding the HUD, yeah that is silly it doesn't help with exit ramps on the highway... I believe the RX is the same way, but haven't tried it out yet.
