Updated my 2018 NX300 today using only the instructions in the PDF. It couldn’t have been easier. Took around 45min and didn’t even need to install the eManual and preserved all the user settings.
And I was pondering paying Lexus $200+tax for an update that is easier to install than a Windows update

Blows my mind why anyone would pay the dealer for something that is so simple to do. Read directions and follow... that's it..lol. Anyone that can use a computer and belongs to a forum should be able to get it done, especially since it's all documented.

just installed carplay and it was a flawless experience! thanks to everyone here in this community for making this possible (and free) for us!

One bug I discovered is that randomly the push back force will turn on after installing carplay even though setting has it off. It seems to go on and off randomly.

Anyone having issues with the mic when connected to CarPlay?
When connected to CarPlay it uses the mic on the phone and not the car mic above the driver seat. I can't find where to change this, if there even is an option.

after installation, has anyone noticed bugs? I've noticed a few so far:




- lane departure assist (the vibration that warns you) doesn't work anymore, even though it is turned on in the settings

- I can't seem to change google maps volume, its default is super loud

Did anyone run into the program with, Preparing Software Update and it just detects USB but nothing is happening?

Just had update done by dealer. Took 1.5 hours, $70.00 no tax. Considering they include a complimentary hand car wash and vacuum, it was a good deal.
What a difference using Siri, it’s like day/night compared to the crap Enform system.
