2024 NX350 Base

I went from filled to filler neck tippy top to run to a stall, eco mode... all flat commuting.

488 miles.

Put in 1/2 gallon to get to the gas station and put in 16.23 gallons.

Gauge reports 30.7 MPG

 

Goes to show you there are many more "hidden miles" of range well after the indicator says 0 miles left. Some Lexus and Toyota's are setup super-conservative with the range estimates it seems. Today I filled my NX350 full and I get 382 miles of range @29.5 MPG average. I know there is a lot left in it. I'm never able to get much more than 12 gallons in it each time I fill up, so I know there's a good amount of remaining fuel in the tank that the range indicator isn't accounting for.

 

20ish in mostly city driving in Chicago, up to 30 while on the highway and 19mpg average towing a scamp 16, 2500lb camper across the country.

 

2019 NX AWD average about 19-20 mpg on 70/30 city/highway

 

2024 NX350h, first tank fill up of car, 3.0 gallons left in 14.5 mile tank as the gas tank light went on , I figure once the light goes on , I have approx 19 miles to go till I have 2.5 gallons left in tank.. I got 38.0 miles per gallon calculated by the computer, but by the fill up at the gas station I calculate 37.3 mpg by my manual calculation.

Does anyone know what Toyota actually specifies is the VERY BARE MINIMUM left in a gas tank of our size before the tank starts to jeopardize the fuel pump safety from being exposed ???
