AUX jack size
Anyone knows what jack size is AUX in NX?
I plugged my phone in today - and nada, no sound. Jack plugged all the way in. Volume turned up on phone. AUX showing on display. Nothing. It's thicker jack, 3mm I believe, that I had for my Camry. Should be same one.
I am bumper to bumper warranty, no big deal but, don't want to go there for goofy error like a smaller jack requirement.
thank you.

Phone is playing audible music through its own speaker(s) and then when plugged in there is no sound?

Aux on my phone works 100%. i USE IT AT THE GYM AND ALso just tried it in rental, so it all works as it should.
Aux in NX either does not work at all or, works for less than a minute and cuts off.
When I mentioned this to Lexus dealer, he behaved like as if it's common issue. I also recall a bunch of that from my Toyota Camry times at toyotanation. Was very common for Aux not to work.
That said, I have reason to have it working.
1. it's Lexus. Toyota flagship. Hence, EVERYTHING should work as it is supposed to. I paid for it, it should work, use or no use.
2. Streaming I keep getting sound "skips". Short gaps in sound. Irregularly, no pattern. Streaming a radio station does not really do it. Streaming from a phone player does, with Samsung player being worst. See, thing is, with Aux in use, you do not have this. That's why I want Aux to work. I do not mind plugging it in.

First your phone needs to be seen by the car as an audio player. When you go to paired BT devices does your phone show up in the description as a phone and an audio player? My IPhone does.
I use my for Pandora
From the manual for a '16
The AUX operation screen can be reached by the following methods:
Connecting a device to the AUX port
Using the instrument panel
Press the “MEDIA” button to display the audio control screen.
Using the Remote Touch
Press the “MENU” button on the Remote Touch, then select “Media” to display the
audio control screen.
BTW it is a 3.5mm four pole jack which should be pretty standard.
Let us know if it recognizes your phone other than being a phone.

Folks, my phone works fine as phone and as media player.
Skipping music is not something new. Actually, it's not skipping, it is better described as doing "stops" in streaming. Simply annoying. I had same issue with same phone with my Highlander. Samsung player, which is OEM player app for my phone, was terrible about this. I installed some other player app and never had that issue again with Highlander. Now, NX has same problem. Plays fine, fine fine, boom - a second or two silence - plays fine again.
To make it clear, if I am streaming from internet radio, I never get those gaps.
But this is not the point of my issue. I have 100% confirmation that Aux does not work. That's why I was curious about jack size, but this was cleared. It's definitely Aux in NX.
