I been searching for a good phone holder. I tried two different CD mount both are on the way of the gear ****. In the winter air vent over heat on my phone. Dash mount are too bulky and ugly for my like.

I had a friend installed Kuda mount in his car nice and clean but I can't justify the price.

My phone is 21:9 so it is a bit taller than any other regular phone. It is not everyone's taste putting a phone there. It does not obstruct my map view from the driver side at all when Android Auto is running.

Default Cell Phone Holder - upright, full display

I'm looking for a mount that would put the phone to the right of the steering wheel, but to the left of the center dash. Something that would mount on the left side of the center dash, and be able to bring the phone closer to me (perhaps in line with the steering wheel itself.

I'm not big on the vent mounts (obstruct air flow) or windshield/dash mounts (obstruct view).

I see lots of these mount with the round suction things and even extend outward somewhat. But I'd like to know if anyone else is using what I am looking for.

I purchased the Iottie Easy One Touch 5 and it is just ok. I haven't permanently mounted it yet, because I am trying to do better. This device will situate the phone in a decent location for me, but I want the phone to come even CLOSER to me. The ideal spot for me is just an inch or two to the right of the rightmost side of the steering wheel, perhaps in line with the steering wheel. This device comes close, but I'd prefer to have it just a few inches closer to me.

With this device, I could mount the suction part on the left side of the center console, and extend the arm out all the way.

The best device I am finding so far is the Panavise PortaGrip 15509. It's a bit costly, but I'd be willing to spend it IF I knew it could do the job.

Does anyone know of a device that is close to the Iottie Easy One Touch 5, but just a few inches longer? This device goes to about 10", and I'm trying to find something that will go 13" or more.

Default In front of dashboard?

With my previous vehicle, a 2010 Lexus ES 350, when I went on long trips I used to rest my phone sideways right in front of the speedometer and tach. I used Waze and it was really easy to follow because it was directly in front of me. Waze shows you how fast you're going so I didn't need to see the speedometer. This worked out really well. I want to do this with my 2015 NX F-sport but there aren't any cracks or edges I can jimmy-rig my phone to, just to keep it upright. I'm not sure anyone else does this but I don't use this permanently, just on trips where I need directions.

Brilliant! The solution was staring me in the face all along. It holds my iPhone 13 with a case well enough that it doesn't slide around.

Smile Cell phone holder

I had the same issue with my NX300h, nowhere to put a cell phone holder without blocking the vent, clock, other buttons, view of other buttons! I like the magnetic type so my phone can stick to the circular magnet even though with a magnet or metal on the back wireless charging doesn't work. I found one that suctions to the bottom of the shelf just below the screen. It suctions to the shelf on the left side and the flexible hose fits to the left just blocking the start button about 90% which is fine. I can now reach it and touch buttons easily. I paid about $20 for it.

My current setup. 3D printed a mount that I made. The one that was provided from thingiverse was too low for me and the angle wasn't facing my direction. Not ideal as the part I made wasn't perfect. Had to sand down the base to prevent the small cubby from breaking because of how tight I designed it. Bought a 17mm ball screw and screwed into my part. Routed the wires on the side with cable management clips for a hidden look. So far, I've been using this setup for at least a year with no problems. Wirelessly charges and if I don't want to charge my phone, I just offset my phone higher away from charging pad and it clamps securely just fine. Will try another way later.
