Default AWD tag not attached underneath NX 300 on the back of the car

Hi,
My car is 2018 NX 300. It has AWD. But the AWD tag is not attached on the back of the car. I am not happy about this. Can anything be done about this?

Why don’t they put the AWD emblem? Almost all other cars of different brands I see have the AWD emblem if they have AWD. Not all NX 300 have AWD so the ones with it should show it.

Our 2015 NX200T is AWD but doesn’t have an exterior emblem. Does any Lexus have the emblem? If you need a AWD Emblem, you can get one for another car brand and attach it.

The RX also does not have an AWD emblem.

The AWD sedans do, so if it matters to you that others know that you bought AWD you could probably buy one and put it on. My GS has one so I'm sure you could order one from the dealer.

Yes I can purchase AWD emblem and put it up but I wrote the post to make this point: there are NX 300 with AWD and there are NX 300 without AWD. To differentiate this they should have put the emblem. Don’t you think?

There have been cars sold with AWD emblem placed by unscrupulous seller onto a FWD model. It is easy to replace them from a car to a car. Maybe that is why, who knows. Maybe, Toyota figured that they will save few thousand a year by not placing them on. Everyone is cheaping out and cutting corners anywhere they can. Manzanilla Olives firgured that if they place only 2 olives less per jar, they save $250 000 a year. So who knows.

The AWD badge is less commonplace on an SUV these days since it's expected making it redundant. Similarly, most cars are FWD or RWD hence can you imagine how tacky a FWD or RWD badge would be?

AWD or 4x4 historically was a sign of, a badge of a more expensive, better equipped car. I get OP's point. Why it is " expected making it redundant " I am not sure. Less olives in the jar - I get that.

That’s the point I had in mind when I stared this thread. We buy expensive car and what they have done is put dealer’s name underneath NX 300 instead of AWD. It’s a bad decision.

I actually prefer to de-badge my vehicles. I think it looks more sleek. Unfortunately, my wife likes the badges, so I haven't removed them yet. I like the sleeper look.

I'm glad my dealer does not add their badge. An AWD badge would have been nice.
