It all depends on the severity of problems with the vehicle, and how promptly manufacturer resolves them.
For example, Audi 2.0L engines were known for oil consumption (and later chain tensioner issues) on A4 (B8) almost since it introduction in 2008 as 2009 model. For years, despite customers complains, Audi did nothing. This eventually led to lawsuit. Regardless, oil consumption issue was put to rest only in 2013, as I recall. Think about it: 4 years car manufacturer was making “defective” engines!

There are a lot of complaints in the Acura forum. I would wait.

Consumer Reports also removed the 2019 RDX from their recommended list due to customer complaints from their survey.

I guess that’s a matter of perspective. I have used touch pads on laptops, Macs and Microsoft Surfaces for years, so it is more intuitive to me than a touchscreen. We had priuses with touchscreens and they were constantly smudged, but more importantly they were also close and within easy reach because the car was smaller.

Anyway, I think my post may have been confusing because I didn’t explain what I meant by “5 years apart”. I was referring to the fact that you said you are currently driving a 2014 Lexus ES in your initial post. What I meant is that I don’t think that infotainment system will be so different from the 2019 that you would have any trouble using it. The obvious difference is the touchpad rather than a joystick.

Apparently Toyota is going “electrified” by 2025

This is thread hijacking but... you all need to calculate in that Toyota is a global company and does as global masters say to. So add to your stipulations that China is going to ban ICE engine by 2028, already followed by many countries. That Europe already is banning diesels in certain areas. That electrics are being pushed and promoted everywhere. This then should be a valid concern for those who buy a new car "till it drops" as you may end up with an illegal vehicle and then what?

Going back to OP. I do not have 19, mine is 15 but, though being known here NX nagger, after 4 days in RX350L - NX is a better car. With tis own problems, but it's just a better car. Not a bloated boat with jerky transmission.

I had one as a loaner a couple weeks ago, found it quite lovely. Just hated the engine, but I hate downsized turbo stuff in general. Had plenty of pickup but all the wrong sounds.

It was definitely a nice ride. I like trucks if I'm riding high but yes I found that quite a lovely little crossover and if I liked crossovers it would be on my list.

Default navigation question

Is there a way for the screen to show the name of the current street if you have no specific destination set?

I believe the screen between the speed and rpm will show it. The map should also if you zoom in close enough.

Why all compare Lexus with Acura??? Lexus is Lexus. Point. Do not compare Lexus with germans cars, and compare it with Acura ??? Hmmm!
