Default New Lexus NX200t owner (2016)

Hello all. Just purchased a 2016 NX200T with 31k on it. Love it so far. Any tips on keeping this baby running well over it's lifetime (besides changing the oil)? I usually do my own general maintenance like oil/filters/rotating tires. I didn't see anywhere where the warranty will be invalidated by NOT having the dealer do the basic maintenance. Anyone know if this is an issue???

As long as you maintain records you can do the maintenance yourself without worrying about the warranty.

Receipts and dates. Maintenance log.
Some scheduled maintenance you can't DIY. 35 000 miles requests brake fluid flush and that requires Techstream scanner to perform. You can not do rear brake pads as that requires Techstream to release E Brake motor.
Spark plugs due at 40 000 miles, btw. Yes.
Otherwise, to get the baby running, pour petrol in.

I'm reading my maintenance schedule for 35k and it doesn't say brake fluid flush. Just inspect fluid levels for leaks. rotate tires, floormat, wiper blades, inspect brakes.

It does say spark plugs at 40k for emission control warranty.

Thanks u

replace brake fluid is 30,000. Had mine done yesterday at 36 months, even though i have 16,000 on car. Part of prepaid maintenance program. Invoice shows $495 they charged to Lexus.

$495? Seems crazy for just brake fluid. Did they do anything else?

So was it 30 000 brake fluid? I knew I was 2-3 000 miles past the the deadline, when I did it at Toyota. $195 after tax. Guy had mercy. First, he could not understand, why perfectly well looking fluid has to be changed. 2ndly, he had mercy and discounted it for me from close to $300 to 195.

But either way, OP. Make sure you did have that service done. Don't give them no excuse to void warranty.
