Voice assist issues
I’ve got a 2019 nx300 and the 2-3 times I’ve used the voice assist to input an address into the navigation, it has worked totally flawlessly. My mom just got a 2016 nx200t and we tried speaking an address into hers and it has never worked. When we say go to navigation, it does, but when we say an address, it never understands us. Since we are both new to these cars, I was wondering if there is any way to update the software, change settings, or something that would make it work better?

The 2018-2019 has a Gen 10 Navigation system with Dynamic Voice Commands, meaning it goes out to the internet (just like Siri does) to figure out what you are saying. It works amazingly well. The 2015-2017 doesn't have this, they have a Gen 9 Nav system. That system only knows the voice commands programmed into it. There is no way to update the car as it's much more than just a software change.
However, it's still possible to use it and make it work better. You need to use the correct verbiage and tell it what it wants to hear. When you give it the address, you need to separate and enunciate your words. Don't pause too long between words or it thinks you've stopped talking. Almost have a cadence to your speech. Push the voice command button, ALWAYS wait for the beep, say "address", wait for the beep, then say the full address without the zip code. There is also a voice recognition training under Setup>Voice. It won't make it fool proof but it helps.
