Default Auto lock

My Lexus NX auto locked in about one minute after leaving and the close the door. I want to leave the door unlocked. How can I change the setting? Thanks

The car will not auto lock if you get out of it and walk away. The only auto lock the car has is if you hit unlock on your key fob or grab the door handle and don't open the door, the car will relock itself after a time. I believe the default is 30 or 60 seconds. Is it possible that when you closed the door, you touched the lock sensor on the door handle? Or something was pressing on the key fob causing the door to lock?

These are the settings for the door locks.
1. Auto lock

5. Auto relock

You can change both your self in the settings on the main screen.

The Auto Lock menu pictured is for when you are inside the car,
OP seems to be interested in what is to happen after exiting the car and offroad200 is correct.

The default 60 second relock feature would happen if you accidentally press the fob unlock without
realizing it, the car would not remain unlocked.

While our cars unlock when you approach, they do not lock when you depart.

Agreed with offroad200, I think I accidentally hit unlock on my key fob without realizing it and the car would not remain unlocked. Thanks again

They unlock when you approach? I haven’t seen that setting. I have to grab the door handle to unlock it.

Approach but do not need to press any buttons on either the fob or the car, just "grab the door handle"
You must consciously press a button inside or outside the car or on the fob to lock it.

related side note. grab the door handle from under and notice how much better the experience is versus grabbing with fingers above the handle. No double tug needed...

The car does not unlock on approach. It unlock when you touch the inside of the handle.
Relock by touching the groove on the outside of the handle.
