Default Cruise control distance ahead

Does anyone know if you can set the separation distance between cars and have it remain in that setting until changed again. Constantly changing the setting is becoming a drag.

To my knowledge, you can't...! I think it has to do with the Japanese way of conceiving safety: when starting the car, its configuration must be set to max. safety level, in this case max. separation between cars. This is also the reason they prevent cruise control from working below a certain speed threshold (unless your radar is following another car).

Wow, who'd have thought, perhaps, guess I'll just have make it a habit each time I start the car. Thanks

Both adaptive cruise and lane keeping assist are turned off as default. When turning ACC on, the distance is always set on max.
I wish they'll update the functions with the next generation of NX so it can be set to on as default, like with the parking sensors or pre crash.
