Thinking of Selling My Wheels...
while I love the wheels I chose and thought they perfect for this car, I am thinking about selling them. They are not really the look I am wanting. They are 20" wheels but with the chrome bands they look more like 18s or 19s. I think I need to go to a wheel without a lip on it to make it look the way I want. Thinking of going to straight 5 spoke style also instead of a split 5 spoke like these. I want a little more racey look and less "pimp" lol.
Opinions wanted. Thanks guys!

Well, look is a very personal thing! E.g. when I first look at the Lexus aggressive grill, I did not like it a bit. But when I look at the NX FSport spindle grille, I actually do like it. At the same time, looking at a similar look (spindle grille) of the RX350, I thought it is too heavy, too much of the chrome band (surrounding the two sigma "mouth" ). So to each his/her own. The issue remains, how do you "live" with the look you don't like? Get used to it, or sell it?
As for the chrome band of these wheels, I thought they look special, distinct from any other wheels. Maybe the chrome band seem to overpower the spokes that does not create the impression you look for: something as aggressive as the spindle grille for the FSport badge? If the split 5 spokes also have enough chrome shine, they may look perfect?
If they are of 18", and you are in Ontario within my driving distance, 5-6 hrs drive, I would get them for my ... winter tires, just a thought for those who may need a 2nd set of wheels

The chrome rim does not go with the black out wheels, the black rim look is so 80s in my opinion, nothing personal. Looking at the color of your car, some gun metal color rims would look good but like someone said earlier, look is so personal.

I know, and I guess that is why I am asking for opinions. My first thought when I bought the car was gunmetal and I talked myself out of it. I honestly have been contemplating candy red. I know, it is not going to be everyone's taste, but it will stand out and look different. Also my interior is red, so it would contrast with that some. I honestly love the wheels I have now, they just aren't the right choice for this car.

I don't think these wheels do not qualify as "pimp".
5 spokes straight or split is still racey.
If that was my wheel above, I would go for black chrome like the factory finish on the f-sport wheel
It's the black on chrome that is throwing it off.
Rather than sell it, why not have it powedercoated in another color or even have red stripes around the outer lip since you're thinking of having red wheels.
every time I see black rim/chrome lip, I think of old muscle car style-my opinion

The chrome lip does make it look significantly smaller. With that said, definitely sell them and get the wheel you want. Enjoy the vehicle while you have it!
I realize this might be old for some people here, but since I've been contemplating an NX, I've always had a soft spot for the concave look:
