Sorry guys can you please explain to me the enform?
You buy the subscription and which app can you use? I see 3 different subscription which should I choose?
I am interested in Google Maps, Spotify and YouTube mainly for music are they available?
Will I be able to listen youtube and drive with Google maps at the same time for example?
The 4G data comes from your Android (no apple available) Bluetooth connected phone right?
Sorry for the patience but I am confused.
Lexus and the dealer know nothing about this upgrade so I am moving toward beat sonic but I want to find other alternatives before the purchasing.
thanks

Enform is a linux base operating system, apps are very limited what app are installed may be different by region.
You cannot choose what apps you want install. like Google maps spotify and youtube are not supported.
Your best bet to run them in carplay/ android auto.

Hello everyone, have a look at this link: https://www.lexus.com.au/apple-carpl...oid-auto/about

For existing Lexus owners, a retrofit is available for $249 on the following models and respective productions dates:

Anyone from Australia receive the updated on one of the above mentioned models?

I queried my local dealer (Lexus of London) today.
Their response was "...apple car play retrofit is the only one available here in Canada , Android auto is not available as a retrofit ."

I have service #2 scheduled for my 2019 NX this coming Thursday at my dealership in Toronto, I'll ask and see what they say. When I went for service 1 my advisor didn't know if there would be a retrofit.

Good to know. So could that mean non nav trims, like my Canadian fsport1, may not be eligible? I do have carplay, but not sure if it was preinstalled or upgraded by the dealer.

If it's a 2018, like mine, it has been upgraded thru a firmware update.
Mine was done at the dealer as here in Canada they "only" charge 70$ to do it vs 250$ in the USA
Would not expect to matter if it's a nav or non-nav trim

I think Australia and Europe didn't get carplay last year that's why they are getting AA retrofit first this time. They can test for bugs when the final version comes to N.A. should be more bug free. And this pandemic is slowing down the process a lot.
From the marketing side some of the owner paid $200 to $250 (Not include Canadian $75cdn) for carplay last year. One year later is Lexus going to ask another $250 for AA I be pissed? One way I look at it they can charge half price for those already had carplay installed.

Hopefully the same guy uploads the Android Auto files just like he did with Apple Car play and we can install the update ourselves. That's what I am hoping...
I kept reading that there was NO update headed for the US for Android Auto... but according to what you are saying that's OK if NA is last compared to the Apple car play update of last year that we got first. I'm cool with waiting as long as we get it. Then it would be sweet having both AA and Apple Car play on the NX at least for our 18'.
