Default My 2019 NX 300h Build

So here is my 2019 NX 300h hybrid blue vortex metallic. I will show every little thing I added, even though some could be standard on some NX. I will start off with the exterior.

I added myself OEM mud flaps (a must in my book) and OEM wheel locks.

Here is the Curt tow hitch #13337 (I bought at Home Depot) with Lexus tow hitch cover #00228-60966. It’s not a must but I am glad I had a friend to help the tolerance is very tight for the install so having extra hands was perfect. I have the Kick Sensor lift hatch and it still works with the hitch. Also I added OEM bumper guard.

Here are the color coded OEM metal door guards, tougher than I thought to install but love the look vs the black plastic one buys.

On all my cars I have the lock gas cap so the NX got one. Bought at Pep Boys.

And here is my .99 cent sticker from eBay.

Now the inside.

I installed the OEM Illuminated Door Sills part number PT944-78152 (bought on eBay $278) these ones are the blue lighted ones. They have the white lighted ones and most people like those which match the interior lights, but all hybrids come with the blue and my exterior is blue I like my choice. For the install not hard at all you have to get over the fear to break down the interior per the instructions but very easy.

I added F Sport pedals bought them at Bell Lexus at North Scottsdale. Brake pedal #47121-78010 $59.19, Accelerator assembly # 78110-0W080 $169.90. The Accelerator pedal took less than 10 minutes, I think 10MM socket and 45psi to tighten. The Brake pedal took 15 minutes, tip use lube (I used dish soap) around the pedal fit one side and push in don’t try to push the pedal rubber out and around it will take you forever with that method.

I got the GS shift **** (Thanks Club Lexus for this idea) #33504-30560-C1 on eBay for $97. So easy and so much better a must in my book.

18 piece Non-Slip interior slot cup pads on eBay for $17. I like the drink cup looks but everywhere kind of seems an over kill but it’s ok.

Now on Aliexpress (only place I could find) Non-Slip pad by Nav screen $18. I don’t like so it’s in glove box now.

Amazon Salusy Car Center Console armrest, $16.68. Love this thing it fits perfect.

Power lift gate left side blank panel replaced with the non-power lift gate handle handle part number #75838-78010-CO

Ebay .99 cent 12X Universal car interior accessory door lock screw protector cover cap trim. Man I thought this was so stupid at first but went for it and really like the look.

So what is next?
F Sport front bumper
Homelink rear view mirror with compass
Exhaust tip
10 speaker replacement
Drink cups illumination
Behind seat coat hanger

Bonus some *** slammed a shopping cart in my door and left a nice big dent. I already got it fixed but asses.

Well I thought of this, I saw the limited black edition NX 2020. They come with smooth body color matching wheel well pieces. So when available for purchase maybe, than all you would need to do is repaint.

No other color it had to be blue, all they had has white, black and silver. So I test drove and walked away, week later got a the call to come check out this one and had to have it. But I still played hard ball with them, you can't show that you want it.

I wanted to add another small part (Coat Hanger) I bought it's JDM part from https://lexusboutique.net. Man I got it in about one week from Japan, wow. It was way overpriced but I just had to have it, I do really like it matches the interior great, the only thing I don't like is the head rest sits a bit to high now because of the plastic from the hanger vs the other side.

That is very cool! But aren't you afraid your sweatshirt will get wrinkled?

You should do the OEM illuminated cup holder inserts.. They are easy to install and look awesome at night. Really adds to the ambient lighting in the vehicle. Check out a thread on here some where that I posted and a couple others have it as well.

Looks good.

I like everything you've done.

I was wondering if your NX came with a wiring harness? They can be expensive to add. do you have one or are you using the hitch for a bicycle rack or something you don't need lights?

Love that Blue NX.

I used to have '15 white one.

I do want the illuminated cup holder , if I could just lift up on the cup holder and pull out I would have done this already. But breaking the whole center apart is something I don’t want to do right now.

No wiring just hitch for bike rack, of course I have to turn off brake assist (I think that is what it is) or the car beeps like crazy and backing up the car stops itself hard when I have the bike on.

Nice thread. might i suggest:

F Sport front bumper -- pricey but this would really set your car off
Gloss paint all that plastic trim
Vinyl black wrap the mirror tops (vinyl is cheap and you can peel it off if you don't like it)

That's it!
