Default Range After Fillup

I recently got the 2020 Lexus NX 300F SPORT. How many miles do you have a fill up? The first time I had 316 miles, this time after filling up, the range is only 306. I'm really confused on how many miles I should be getting total after a fill up. I've been using Shell 93 Nitro V Power

The NX 300's fuel tank size is 15.9 gallons. The EPA estimates that the combined MPG for the NX 300 is 24 MPG, with Fuelly also saying it should be around 24 MPG. That means the total range is potentially 381.6 miles, assuming you fill the car from full and use every last drop of gas. Getting around 330~ miles shouldn't be impossible, but I think your fuel range is fine, assuming you fill gas as soon as the gas light comes on.

Thank you. Each time I’ve filled up I’ve had around 27-32 miles until empty so I don’t know if that is affecting it but I was expecting at least more than 306 miles until empty. The pump stopped around $35 and that gave me 11.5 gallons.

Yep you should be fine. If you really want, you can track your own fuel economy using Fuelly or with the odometer in the car.

Cold weather will drive your MPG down quite a bit.

Even with a full tank, I pumped until it clicked and once I restarted I only had 306 miles. I just thought I would get more miles than that

I fill with with shell v power and with 100% city driving i get 450km or about 280 miles. Even with the needle at below empty it takes 50 or so litres to fill it up to full. So i assume there’s still about 10 litres or 3 gallons left for reserve

It depends on how you drive and how much city vs highway as well.

As ros7777 said, it depends on your driving. It uses your previous tanks mpg in the computation for the miles to empty. If you have more highway miles on the previous tank, the new computed miles to go will be higher.
