warranty concerns
I had mechanical and body work done by a local shop. They stated they used Lexus parts. I am still having issues. Insurance said take it to the dealer. Whether they are Lexus parts or not, will this void my warranty. Its a pre-certified owned.

Body work on the left door was done & mechanically the control arm & wheel bearing were replaced. I am still having alignment issues & hearing a buzzing sound at higher speeds. I took it back to the body shop & they could not pin point the issue. They spoke with insurance & so did I. We concluded on taking it to the dealer.

The dealer is not going to warranty some else's work. If the body shop's work is the cause of the problem, chances are it will not be covered under the warranty. I would try to get the insurance company to make your car right again.

Make sure you can reproduce the issue for the dealer. No need to tell dealer about body work etc so they can diagnose correctly. Once you know the problem and the problem happens to be a lexus oem part as long as issue was not caused by the body repair it will be fixed by Lexus.(covered by cpo). Otherwise the body shop is responsible..
adding: Lexus will not cover if the issue is as a result of incorrect installation of the part (even if part is oem)

The dealer found out the wheel bearing was the problem. They covered it under warranty. However the body shop stated they fixed that same part. This sounds fishy too me. Even though the part is fixed now what are the pros and cons of telling the insurance company? will I get stuck as a middle man? plus my alignment is still off...dealer gave me specs.

Did the body shop check the frame (front crossmember) dimensions? If the lower control arm was damaged enough to require replacement, it is possible the mounting points shifted as well.
The dimensions in the attached drawing should match perfectly between right and left sides, or it may not be possible to meet the alignment specifications.
This video shows an example of how it is done.

Alignment specs
They didn't mention anything about the lower control arm, but I will get it rechecked. I heard the bushings can go bad on the control arm. I do have 255/45/20 on this vehicle now after the local body shop said they couldn't tell if it was the tires or the bearings. Then I got new tires & wheels, then took it to lexus afterwards.
