Default Do I Have Road Sign Assist?

I have a 2019 F-Sport NX 300 produced after October 2019, so I have had Carplay since day 1. Does my NX include the road sign assist option? If so, all I have seen is a speed limit sign that is outlined in red if I am over that speed. I never hear a buzzer or seen a stop sign, yield sign, etc. Can anyone share some information about this, and is it a standard feature on my car? Thanks!

Could be wrong, but I don’t think RSA was on the NX until the 2020 model with LSS+2.0.

My NX is too old for that particular feature, but my 2019 ESh has it. The "Road Sign Assist (RSA)" is listed right on the window (Monroney) sticker in the "Lexus Safety System+ 2.0" section. It shows in the HUD and on the information screen to the left of the speedometer - and I rarely see any stop signs or yield signs. It doesn't result in any audible alerts on our ES, only the visible notification. If you are seeing the visible notification, then your vehicle has that option. We really like it but I think maybe it has slowed us down because seeing the speed limit and the actual speed right there side-by-side on the HUD display makes it a little too obvious when we are going too fast.

For the record, there is an adjustment in the menu that allows you to change how many miles over the posted speed will result in the yellow line around the sign. Unfortunately, that menu will only go up to five miles an hour over the posted speed...

How do you find that menu to adjust? Is it on the Nav screen? or on the steering wheel screen?

Steering wheel screen or I guess in the instrument cluster is a better description. Scroll over to the settings menu from your steering wheel switch and you will see it listed as RSA. Hit enter and you will see the options. Mine is set on visual only but all I've ever seen are speed limit signs also. I don't know what good having other signs recognized is if they are only going to be layered underneath that speed limit sign. Not a real good design IMHO.

I don't have RSA as one of the options, but I do have this on the screen.

Do you have Park Assist (parking sensors)?

Then the RSA option is in the same screen where you turn the PKA (parking assist) off and on. At least I think it is until I go outside and look at my NX to know for sure.

I was just looking at the RSA on my 2020 today and it looks like it only recognizes speed limit signs, stop signs, and yield signs. And honestly, the tiny sign logo doesn’t pop up until you’re relatively close to it. I’m not sure what use it has unless you have alerts on for speeding. As for speed limits, I feel like my older Lexus had speed limits for most roads built into the navigation (like Waze, etc. has), so maybe that’s where it’s pulling that information from.
