Any of you nx'rs take yours camping?

 

I plan to in July, if the campsite reopens in time...I got a hitch carrier so I can carry supplies there like a cooler or 70qt container. I like that tarp setup. Is that something you just put together or is that a kit (and where did you get it)?

 

I got the idea from YouTube. This one in particular


but got PVC pipe 1&1/4" and a 1" slides out of it with lynch pins holding them in place as well as the tarp. A couple of extendable tent poles from amazon and paracord and stakes. The one inch section doesn't like wind. But other than that it works well. I just wrapped the roof rack with cuts of a tire inner tube and then tightened a hose clamp around it and the PVC securing it in place on the roof rack. When driving the 1 inch slides into the 1&1/4 section and a cap is screwed on.
