Anyone putting in turbo timer for their NX?

It's not necessary if you want to sit in your car for an additional minute+ after arriving at your destination.
But my understanding is that this device will keep the engine running for the 'cool down period' so that you can leave your vehicle immediately.

Don't bother. Just cause the car features the word "turbo," it's not a boy racer race car. 99% of driving (likely even 100%) it's not going to matter. Just shut off your car normally when you're done driving it as with any car.
Just as the manual states for particularly hard driving, let idle a minute. Even then it's probably overkill cause no one shuts their car off the instant they get done driving it hard. You pull off the highway, turn into your block, wait at lights etc., and by then your car has been "idling" well over a minute allowing the heat exchangers to do their thing. But just to cover all scenarios, sure a minute of specific is a good rule of thumb in the extremely rare event you were ascending a steep hill for a period of time or racing on a track.
Don't overthink it just cause you have some cash to burn and/or are bored and want to buy something. It's not needed. The engineers did all the hard parts. You just sit back and enjoy =)

I have a turbo timer on my 05' STi. I put it on when I bought the car and was 15 years younger. Thought it was cool. Even on that car it's 100% not needed. It's still on my STi to this date but only because I haven't removed it. After spirited driving, having it run at idle for 30 extra seconds isn't going to do anything. Plus I can't lock the car until it shuts off so there really isn't a point to it, and makes me sit in the car even after I have taken out the keys. Fast forward 10+ years with technology to a Lexus NX and it's 100% not needed..lol.
How many people do you actually think sit in the car and let it idle for a couple minutes after driving hard? Better yet places that are far hotter all year round and people driving and just shut it off. If it was truly a problem we would see people posting "my turbo is destroyed" threads. Yet we don't. I totally get what they are saying in the manual but if it was really a problem or issue, you'd think before shutting the car off and putting it in park a message on the screen would say "keep car on for 1 minute" or something along those lines.
The NX is not a performance vehicle by any stretch of the imagination. It's already got a coolant line going to the turbo., it's fine. If you want to get a TT by all means install one, but it's a waste of money.
