Hi everyone,

I wonder if any of you had this issue on their NX200t.
With A/C off, when selecting with dash button where you want your ventilation to blow, if feet and windshield selected, it blows cold air on the 2 side vents on the dash.
If I feel the air it's cold, like A/C is on.

Any input appreciated,

Do you had your on AC first and then turn off AC? This happens to all brand car the AC will remind blowing cold air, takes few min. before all the remaining refrigerant blow all out.

Shouldn't have any cold air if you start the car with AC off.

Nope, A/C was off and I didn't turn it on afterwards.
Another clue, in any other modes (front&feet, front only, feet only) it does not happen...
Not only should not have cold air but it should not blow air at all from side vents, only windshield and feet.

If you select windshield, the A/C compressor is automatically turned on for defogging of the windshield. I suspect that the side vents are on so they can be aimed at the side windows for defog purposes. I have not tried this on our NX but will try it the next time I’m in it.
