Default NX200t Leak

Hi All,

I should start by saying that I am quite new to the community so apologies if this has been already discussed. I very recently bought a used NX200t and noticed that after a long drive there is fluid leaking from the front of the vehicle. When I checked it seems to me that it’s only water and I suppose it’s ac condensation.

However, I read quite a lot about water pump issues where loss of coolant is observed but seems to me like the coolant level hasn’t changed.

I am looking for guidance on how to diagnose the problem at an early stage before it may become something more serious. Appreciate your thoughts and support on this.

If it was coolant, you would be able to smell it. If it's just water then its nothing to worry about.

The AC condensate drips behind the front tires, the coolant leaks from in front. Condensate will dry up pretty quickly but coolant won't evaporate entirely and stay for a long time. Lexus (and Toyota) coolant is pink, not green, and should be pretty easy to see even on your fingers.

My NX has had a water pump at under 24,000km replaced under warranty due to a leak.

The water pump in our '17 was replaced under warranty at 46K miles. Found a small amount of light pink fluid on the garage floor and knew it wasn't normal.
