UGH Reduced Power warning light
My wife and I own a 2015 NX200t with 81500 miles on it. We have used premium gas and regular maintenance. In August we had the fuel pump recall done and other items done (new tires, etc). In September 6 my wife started a Covid assignment in west Texas (ICU Nurse) so I drove her from upstate NY to Texas. Everything on the drive was excellent even got 30 miles per gallon but the day before leaving we get the reduced power warning light followed by traction control/ 4wd disengaged 2wd active light. Her job is stressful enough so I stayed a few extra days to get this taken care of but I’m worried this is going to be expensive. Lexus is taking the car to Lubbock TX 132 miles away. Has anyone else had this issue and any resolution? Lexus IS doing the tow complimentary so I’m great full for that. Help.

So I must say that I am both happy with the Lexus service and yet confused. I called Lexus corporate and they made arrangements to pick up my NX and have it towed to Lubbock TX to the nearest dealer. They have agreed to pay for the tow and my rental. The dealer says it has to do with the bull item that has been reported to Lexus and the cost was going to be 1300.00 and the suggested i call Lexus and see what they could do for me. Well i spoke to my case manager and she said she would discount $800 of my bill. This was amazing but what puzzles me is that when i get home to NY (my wife is still in Texas with a rental) in my mailbox is a safety recall from Lexus describing everything that has gone wrong with my NX, oh and the part for this bulletin will not be in until October 22. Does this sound weird to you all (y’all, in Texas talk).?

It doesn't sound weird to me but more of a coincidence. TSBs (Toyota Service Bulletins) aren't the quickest to be both advertised and handled, what you described I have heard of over the years with different models across Lexyota's lineup.
I am curious what TSB you got in the mail. Any chance you can scan it and blur out your info? I haven't seen anything myself.
