I'm unable to use the hold function (see photo) with the driver's belt unbuckled in my 2018 NX300. When I press the hold button, I receive a notification on the dash saying that the hold function is not available while the driver's belt is unbuckled. Anyone know a way around this? I have an OBD2 adapter that I use with Carista Pro. I can also use another OBD app if necessary. Thanks.

I don't believe there is any way to defeat this. The Lexus legal folks probably wouldn't allow it. I experience the same frustrating issue when I pull up to a drive-through and unbuckle to pull my wallet out of my hip pocket. I only need it unbuckled for a moment but it kicks the hold off. I don't visit that many drive-throughs, however that annoyance has prevented me from really making much use of the hold feature. If you look at the personalized settings available for the NX, there is nothing that can be adjusted either by the user or through Carista. Yeah, this is where I'm stuck too. Just gonna have to deal with it until someone comes up with a hack.
