Default Non-OEM Trailer Hitch

Hi,

I am new here. Just got a 2021 NX300h last month. We had a Prius for 12-yrs until the track battery started having issues. An replacement costs around $3500 at dealership.
Anyways, I got a CURT hitch (mainly for the bike rack not towing) on Amazon and installed last week. The installation was fairly easy but after that I realized some issues.
The hitch blocks the back door kick sensor and the rear jack point (see attachments). Just wondering anyone installed non OEM trailer hitch and having any problems.

Thanks

I have a 2019 and also installed a non-OEM hitch, and I have the exact same issues with the kick sensor and the rear jack point. However, I am able to get the kick sensor to work by physically kicking (just touching) the lower bumper just to the right of the hitch opening with my foot. Haven't tried to access the jack point though.

Really appreciated the feedback. After few tries the kick sensor seems working.
Probably it's not a good idea to use the hitch as the jack point.

Glad to hear the kick sensor is working for you. Yeah I definitely wouldn't use the hitch as a jack point either. I meant that I haven't tried to remove the jack point plastic cover to see if my jack will fit without any clearance issues with the hitch. Though I doubt it will have enough clearance.

Default Worked it out

Lexus installed a 1-1/4” hitch. Foot raises a little tougher. But it works. Have to disable the PKAS however

The CURT hitch doesn't interfere with PKAS. However, when I was backing up to our driveway with bikes. The Parking Support Brake was activated once, my wife thought I hit something So I have to remember to turn PKAS off next time
