Default How do I remove the side panel from the center console?

Hi everyone, I recent got a NX300 to replace my 2014 RAV4 as my daily commute car. I want to install a dash cam, but using the cigarette lighter port instead of hardwired. I want to tuck the wire in the center console passenger side panel as I see it's removable. However, I see there two different ways to remove it from two Youtube videos I saw. Can anyone here advise which way is correct?

The first one, the dude just pop the panel off the clip without removing the screws. Starts at 46sec

The second one, the dude unscrewed the two screws, then pop it off. But I don't see any thread holes that the screws are screwed into. Starts at 43sec

I did the same thing as the first video for my dash cam. No screwdriver required on my NX300.

Yank it sidewards from the side closer to the storage/armrest, then work your way to the front. Once all clips are out, the part closer to the front can slide rearwards and out of the guide holes. So, yeah. First video.
