Default 2018 nx300 steering wheel clicking/winding sound ?

Hey Everyone! Just noticed this not sure if it’s an issue or if it’s normal . Most of the time when I back out of my driveway and turn my steering wheel at full lock I hear this clicking sound almost like if something in the steering wheel is winding up.

I have 4 months left on my bumper to bumper warranty. Has anyone else noticed this sound ?

Just want to make sure before booking an appt at my dealer

Thanks !

Does the steering wheel only click while it is turning? If so, its likely the clock spring inside the steering,

Yes ! It clicks depending on how much I turn the steering wheel . Is this a normal noise for a clock spring to do ? Thanks for the Reply !

Its not a normal noise, the clock spring needs to be replace. The clock spring is what maintains the electrical connection on the steering wheel when you turn it. If you have only 4 months left in your warranty, I would bring it into the dealer and at least get it documented.
