Default Adaptive cruise curve reduction

I saw a video by LSFT showing a setting to eliminate the curve reduction speed on adaptive cruise, which I would definitely like to get rid of, but it doesn't appear to be available on the 23 NX450h. His video was on a 22 NX. Does anyone know how to remove this?

I did it on mine as we have a highway nearby with a combination of 3 tight turns over a short distance The car would slow to a crawl and I'd have those following me up my butt! Another remedy would be to just accelerate a bit, that overrides the cruise.

You need to go to the settings menu and search around, that's how I found it. You could always download the manual and search there first.

It is in Settings(gear icon) - Driver Assist - Driver Support -Reduce Speed and has 4 settings Off-Low-Med-High.
Mine came default on Medium and think I changed it to Low and now only slows down a little bit on curves and works good for me.

But no mention of "curve speed reduction". I assumed that setting was for slowdown when approaching a vehicle while on adaptive CC. I like the adaptive, but hate the curve reduction. I'll check it. The video of LSFT clearly showed the curve option, which mine does not.

And therein lies the problem. Mine looks different:

Very frustrating. I have had the car for less than a week, the day it arrived from port to dealer, so pretty fresh I would think.

What version of software do you have? It's possible that it changed as part of the recent update.

But that reduce speed looks like the right setting. Maybe a new bug. Not sure why they would have two reduce speed.

I wasn't sure if it referred to the lane departure, which it seems to. I think the software version is 1050

I also don't have it. What I find odd is if I search for it, it comes up as a suggestion but then doesn't show up. Seems like its built in all together with "Reduce speed" I have had some toyota/lexus with and some without so it's kind of odd.

I think what happened is, it used to say "Curve speed reduction", but after the update, it now says "Speed reduction" so it could be the same thing; just try to change speed reduction to low and see what it does to speed as well as speed on curves.

The 2024 NX models now have an added safety feature called "Proactive Driving Assist" or PDA which I believe may default to ON whenever you start your car, depending on your region/country. It should have been called Pain In The A** as it invokes a very uneasy feeling when driving, slowing the car down constantly, pulling on the steering wheel constantly too. I'm in Canada and had a loaner '24 NX350 recently with it and I couldn't figure out why the steering wheel tugged left and right at different times and also the car slowed down at times as well. Well it's the new PDA when it's active or turned on. see this Youtube clip explanation of this feature that starts at 58:34 . This is on a '24 Lexus RX but it is same feature and displayed on your center screen same way too.
I'm wondering if this is what people are experiencing on 2024 models and think it may be a Cruise Control setting for curve speed reduction. Anyways, in the video she mentions that when cruise is activated this feature turns off because there is some overlap on the same functions like slowing down when approaching a vehicle.
