6.6 Kilowatt On-board Charger
New to the PHEV world. My NX 450h+ came upgraded with the 6.6 Kilowatt On-Board Charger. I asked during delivery "How can check to ensure I have the 6.6 Kilowatt Charger?" I was informed they didn't know. I haven't been able to find anyone who could tell me. One person informed me it was built into the 120v Charge Cable (the little box built into the cable). I threw the BS flag on that one.
Can anyone tell me where I can check (beside the window sticker) to know I have the 6.6 Kilowatt On-Board Charger?

My understanding the 450H+ comes standard with the 3.3 kw on-board charger. The invoice/window sticker shows there is an Optional Upgrade to the 6.6 kw on-board charger. But just because the paperwork says it's there doesn't mean it is. I would like to put eyes on and see that it is the 6.6 kw charger.
I have the 120v charger and my home has a 240v hard wired EV charger. I just like knowing I received what I paid for and that everything is as it should be.

Easiest way is to find your way to the nearest 6kW charger and plug in. If you have less than ~80% charge you can see if the charger is delivering over 3.3kW or not.
You can locate a chargepoint charger near you using their app or the website: https://driver.chargepoint.com/?view=list
Filter for "AC -J1772" which is the 6.6kW chargers.

I have a ChargePoint EV Charger at home. It doesn't tell me what my wattage is. But a Pay to Charge charger does?
People can look at an engine block and tell you exactly what it is. You can look at a light bulb and see what the wattage is. But there is no way to look at the pretty box and know what it is, 3.3 kw or 6.6 kw? This seems strange to me. Is this what they call "blind trust"?

If your ChargePoint EV Charger is configured to deliver at least 32A, charging from empty (or nearly empty) battery to full should take about 2.5 - 3 hours. You can see time to full on the dashboard or in the Lexus app.

AFAIK all NX450H are delivered with the "optional" 6.6KW charger. If you already have a Level 2 charger at home it's easy enough to verify.

Sounds like No One has been able to confirm what they paid for by getting eyes on the charger itself.
I know I'm charging at 240v because of the power I had to put in. I know it's configured for 48 kw because that is what the charger is capable of. So assuming time is accurate measure of what I paid dollars for, I guess the 6.6 kWh On-Board Charger was installed.
But I still haven't seen it to confirm it and from the look at the responses, no one else has either.

The only way to really know is to tear apart the car to look at the charger. However, if you go to the Lexus Interface - under Vehicle customize -> Charging -> Charging current, the max charging current can be set. If you have the 3.3 kWh you only have the 8A vs the 6.6kWh cars will have 8A and 16A in the setting.

Yeah, I mean the charger is like an internal component - it's not easily visible. There's been many methods posted that will absolutely verify if you have the charger or not... Just cuz you can't literally see it, doesn't mean it isn't there...

G9099-78040 is the part number for the 6.6KW onboard charger for the NX450H and is located under the rear seats according to the Lexus parts manual. Around $3000 US .
Funny thing is that I couldn't find the 3.3KW charger part number on any of the parts list. Does anybody actually have the 3.3KW?

You can verify by checking charge times. If you are able to fully charge battery from 0 miles pure EV range to fully charged in < 4 hours, then you are charging at faster than 3.3 kW.
In practice, I observed it takes about 4.5 hours to fully charge NX 450h+ when using my wall charger which is limited to 3.6 kW (240V X 15A).
The 450h+ battery has ~13.8 kWh (kilowatt-hours) usable battery capacity for pure EV driving. 13.8 kWh ÷ 3.3 kW = ~4 hrs .
More battery info in Some technical NX info I have learned. - ClubLexus post.

Panasonic UF261591TA NCM622 51Ah, 188.7Wh, 3.7V in "PHEV2" form factor. So, 3.7 V X 51 Ah X 96 = 18.1 kWh. Of course, not all of the energy is usable... in the 450h+ you're out of EV range at ~13.7% and will max out at ~90.6%... that's ~13.8kWh usable for EV (HV will normally stay between 12.1-13.7%; but, you can get down to ~9.6% if you sit idle).

Thanks. But I wasn't looking for the timing of the charge. I know there is a charger because the battery is recharging. I wanted to see the charger itself to validate it was in fact the 6.6 kWh on-board charger I paid for.
I can see I have 4 tires and they are RunFlats, and I can see they are 235/50-20's. I can see they put the option floor mats and wheel locks. I want to see the charger. I don't like plugging anything in blind and not knowing for sure, especially into a 240v outlet. But thanks for your input. It may help someone else.
