Default Older NX, better resale price?

I recently play around in KBB with my 2022 350h premium and want to see how much I can get if I sale this car. I get a price which is several thousand below mrsp, that is expected. However I checked the 2021 nx 300h luxury one with same mileage I have , the mrsp is one thousand over my 2022 car, but the resale price is 2000 more. Even more I checked 2020 nx with the same mileage and configuration, I got even more and the resale price is even higher than the mrsp.

why?

The 2021 doesn't have any issues. Unlike the first year 2022

The 2022 was a complete redesign and overhaul. Everything is new. 2021 was the same reliable lexus which everyone knows and is used to.

Interesting, for fun I checked for my area and a '22 NX350h with same mileage (18,000mi arbitrarily), same condition (very good) as a '21NX300h and the '22 was estimated worth +$1500.

I also checked some popular used car sites that offer pricing estimates, however, there are so few NX available around here in the used market place that they could provide no estimate, so the truth lies more in doing that reading I think.

So there is a chance maybe next year that the resale price for 2022 NX will goes higher? No considering the big background now.

It may really depends on the area. However, I still can not understand why the same car, the 2020 had a better resale value than 2021 one. They are the same generation anyway.
