Default Change Tire Size in Settings???

Getting my new tires installed tomorrow. I was trying to find a place in Settings where you can input a different tire size in the system. I'm going away from the Run Flats 235/50-20 to a Regular All Season 245/50-20.

There was a place where you could put a different set of tires in (not sure if it applies to size) but I think it requires a different set of TPMS'. I think it's for the Great White North folks who run 2 sets of tires (Summer & Winter). But I'm not sure.

I am hoping I can input the correct tire size but if not, thats okay as I'm not really worried about the odometer that much. Any ideas???

I don't believe you can put in the tire size in the app or anywhere in the car.

The only thing the car can read for tires is the tire pressure.

Don't sweat it man! Just slap the new tires on and go go go!

Tire size can only be changed by a dealer technician, or aftermarket which may present warranty wrangling. It isn’t simple owner set-able.

Your speedometer will read different with different tire size. Also, I am not sure about US, but my experience with some Canadian Lexus dealers is that they will look for anything out of spec to decline a warranty issue. They could blame many drivetrain and suspension issues (Although unrelated) to your out of spec tires.

The approved tire sizes for a car are on the sticker on B pillar, as far as OEMs are concerned.

Understand the odometer issues. Not worrying about that at all. I went with the 245/50-20's only because they have the best specs. I considered the Michelin Cross Climate but I've had too many bad experiences with Michelin I decided on the Pirelli's. It is an acceptable size per all of the tire comparison sites. I haven't seen anywhere that it mentioned not to go with this size change. So I'll gamble. Had Lexus made the decision to not put Run Flats on the vehicle, we most likely would not be having this conversation.

I got Pirelli P Zero All season tires on my 1st gen NX. On their sidewall, they are showing tiny little cracks, not just in one area, but visible across the sidewall. They are only 3 years old, and still have 6/32 left on the tread. You can google around, people also reported sidewall crack issues with Pirelli. Now I have to constantly pay attention to the tires, if the cracks get worse, I'll have to toss the tires. So, I don't recommend Pirelli, I won't get another set of Pirelli again.

Hi.
The tyre size is 50-20", the same as the original, 235 0r 245(mm) is the width. So 50% of 245 is more than 50% of 235. There is 5mm x 2 difference in height for the tyres which is in total only about 1/3".

Go here: https://tire-calc.com/comparison/235...5-50-r20-inch/
for a complete breakdown. You can ignore the difference unless you really want to be 100.00% accurate

Good luck with finding suitable tyres. I fitted Continental Premium contact C 235/50 R20 Contisilent summer tyres (I need Nordic winter tyres) and they are supergrippy and quiet.
