Might have got lucky on an NX450h+...
New forum member, but long time Lexus fan...
I took an interest in the NX450h+ about 1 month ago, here in Australia, after looking around at all kinds of hybrids and EVs. The order queue is so long in Australia that they stopped accepting more orders recently - meaning the only thing you could do was place an "expression of interest" and a deposit. https://www.carexpert.com.au/car-new...ord-wait-times
So I placed my Expression of Interest. But I kept in touch with the dealership and made it known that I was really keen on the car.
Then last week... I learned that another customer had cancelled their order. The colour combo was right for me. And now all of a sudden, I am looking at possibly receiving my car sometime in August (!). Today I just learned that it has entered the manufacturing line.
I feel really lucky at this point. Have others been waiting a while to order this car?
And if you already have one, how is it so far?

We just got ours a week ago! Great overall thus far. Averaged 37mpg on our 500 mile trip home. Got 40 miles range on the first full battery charge. It’s a special vehicle.
(Only glitch thus far is the sometimes the drivers seat does not automatically move back to the driving position upon restarting the car. It’s intermittent. I don’t think it’s driver error.)

Yep, you are lucky. I ordered mine June 2022 in Richmond Hill, Ontario and i was told last week another 6 months at least, if not more. Canada gets least number of 450+ deliveries as these are built in Japan. For gas or hybrid they wait time is less as they are locally built.

Ordered April 2022 in Toronto… dealer has no idea when I can get the car (same “waiting fulfillment” status at Lexus in Japan whenever my dealer checks the status)… giving up… ordered an iX in April 2023… it’s already been built, left the factory in Munich and waiting to be shipped… will probably get it late July or early August…

I'm currently in a GX. But I had this type of problem on my ISF. Except it was seats and door locks. It happened when the dealership changed out a bad battery. And nothing worked right afterwards.

It's for all models. Typically it's done by the dealership and I don't know why it's not done by many dealerships when they do the delivery process. I picked up my car and it was all initialized.
