Oil change interval

The service advisor indicated that car should return at 15k, But I need to dig into the pile of manuals provided with the car to see what is actually “required.” Hard to believe the necessary interval is only 5k. Couldn’t hurt (except financially) but I’m inclined to wait till 10k.
