Has anyone put ppf on the door cups (xpel) my installer noted that to do it correctly you must take the door panels off and remove the outside handle. Any comments and pictures appreciated.

Wow, as a guy who had done PPF on his own cars for the past 20 years... I find that VERY hard to believe. But - anything is possible.

I've had it done on multiple cars and never had the door handles taken off.

I agree with the others, seems completely unnecessary. I have the PPF under the door handles and I can't imagine this being difficult to do with the door handles in place.

I didn't bother putting PPF in the door cups. When I purchased my 2015 Subaru Crosstrek XV I purchased a set of Cupezz. They are a rubber magnet. They have a carbon fiber look but behind the door handle you don't really see it. They are black and on the white car with all the black accents and trim, they look good. I purchased them from Amazon awhile back.
