Eco vs Sport

Eco vs Sport
Eco, Normal, Sport Mode … not much of a difference. Our other cars run substantially more aggressive in Sport than comfort or eco mode. Waste of a shift mode in an NX350. Absolutely worthless. My .02

Where do you access turbo monitor. I've been through all my settings and don't remember seeing that one.

Maybe you mean normal vs Sport. Eco is absolutely horrible and I only turn it on when I'm in stop and go traffic. I still prefer the driving characteristics in Sport so I always switch to it when I turn on the car.

Best I can say at this point is Sport is worthless when in that setting. No idea if I’m doing something wrong or it’s not tuned properly. I will fiddle.

I would assume Lexus could have tuned the software on the f sport models with sport + to give you more power in the lower rpm’s to give that push you back in your seat feeling. At the least provide more power from the 0-45 mph. If you don’t want that then don’t use the sport + but Lexus hasn’t done that. They are more reserve.
I test drove a 2023 350 non f sport about 5 months ago. I drove a 2024 350 f sport a few wks ago. Honestly they both felt about the same. The 0-45 even in the sport and sport + were not as quick as I had hoped. I felt there was some lag in getting to 50 but once there had ample power for passing it getting on the highway and easily got to 70-75 with no issues. The engine does emit more noise than I’m use to, it’s not a pleasant turbo sound like the BMW turbos.
Since most of my driving now is city, I’m still deciding if this is the right vehicle for me. I love everything else about the NX, the interior, technology, fit and finish are all top quality. It’s just the engine I’m concerned with in city driving.
I’m coming from a BMW turbo inline 6 with 300 hp, it’s just what I’ve been use to for 13 yrs now. I’m not saying one is better than the other. I’m just saying I wish the NX350 F Sport while in Sport and Sport + provided more power in the lower rpm’s. If Lexus had put the V6 from the IS into the NX350 F Sport, I’d be sold and bought it already. I use to own an IS 350 with the same engine that’s still currently using so I know how it feels, great!

Whenever I've had a car I was unhappy with...I got rid of it. Granted--I can afford it. But the reliable whining and grumbling and complaining from some quarters on this forum gets old--IMHO. If you're so dissatisfied and unhappy with your car, and with Lexus--lots of other car companies will sell you one.

If you are referring to my posts (Complaining)... I apologize. I'm married, retired and bored.
