NX350 owners, what's your distance to empty ?

What kind of adjustments can be made and what kind of outcome are you looking for.

If it helps... I didn't have a good experience with my 2022 NX 350 (Ultra Luxury). I bought it used (from Lexus), with only 1,360KM (845 miles). Every time I filled the car with gas (re: 94 Octane), I could never get more than 425 KM (265 miles) in fuel range. As a matter of routine, I fill my car, when the low-fuel light starts to appear (~30 KM range); driving both highway and city. Based on the displayed fuel range and actual odometer reading, I would say, the readings were accurate and consistent. When I raised my concerns at servicing (~ 1,600 KM, or ~ 995 miles) , I was told the vehicle/motor still needed to "break in". I was advised that I should wait until the vehicle reached around 3,000 KM (1,865 miles), before I could enjoy higher fuel ranges. All in all, every fill-up became a regular source of both annoyance and irritation... More than once, I sent the vehicle for diagnostics - though the technicians could never find any issues. By 3,620 KM (2,250 miles) on the odometer, despite a financial loss, I happily traded the vehicle for another Lexus product. Unfortunately, for my particular gas-powered NX, I could never reach a fuel range greater than 425KM (265 miles). I believe the NX was purposely built with a smaller gas tank, to better accommodate a hybrid configuration. Nevertheless, my ownership of the NX 350, was an all-around disappointment; knowing my vehicle didn't perform as I had hoped or expected. I know other NX owners got better fuel economy - unfortunately, that simply wasn't the case for me. I believe my case is isolated... still, I thought I would chime in, with the hope that this may be helpful to you.

Update
Okay since my last post and tank of gas I've been driving conservatively in eco mode and got up to 27.4 average mpg on my gauge cluster. This afternoon drive I got my tank down to the very last tick with the gas light on and distance to empty down to 15 miles. Later in the evening I drove to Costco to get gas and got my distance to empty down to 4 miles. While filling up, the pump stopped at 11.8 gallons where it usually does. I decided to push it and test it this once to fill it to the tip of the fill neck. At the end I was only able to add another half gallon of gas into the tank until I saw fuel settling at the tip of the fill neck. I waited another 30 second hoping the fuel will slowly trickle down in to the tank but it didn't. So total amount of gas I was able to pump was 12.682 gallon. Very depressing and disappointing. I did break the 300 mark; 304 miles to empty. I was really hoping to see mid to high 300 miles not low 300 because I was averaging 27.4 mpg. I give up on this stupid tank.

IDEAL = when miles to empty 0 , gas tank empty
Now about the ticks on the gas gauge, there are 8 total ticks on a 350h rated at 39 mpg there are a total of 565.5 miles so 70.68 miles per tick, each tick equals
Note when you have about 15 miles to empty the yellow low gas icon comes on and when your miles to empty is blank ( zero miles left) you still have one gas gauge tick.
Now on other NXs:
350h 39mpg total miles= 565.5 total minus 2.8 gallons = 456.3 miles per tic (total) = 71 miles per tic ( total -2.8) = 57
250 28mpg total miles = 406 total minus 2.8 gallons = 327.6 miles per tic (total) = 51 miles per tic ( total -2.8) = 41
350 24mpg total miles = 348 total minus 2.8 gallons = 280.8 miles per tic (total) = 44 miles per tic ( total -2.8) = 35
450+ 36mpg +37 electric total miles = 559 total minus 2.8 gallons = 458.2 miles per tic (total) = 70 miles per tic ( total -2.8) = 57
Remember each 2 ticks is a quarter of a tank of gas
YMMV,

P.S. - Actually my new Prius may be my favorite car close to 60 mpg on highway's, mid 50s in town,, 0 to 60 7.2 seconds, sporty light feel, Lexus/Toyota quality. And basically the LE model has the almost same exact cargo space as a NX

Ideally, the miles to empty would be accurate down to zero(0) miles meaning when miles to empty goes blanks your gas tank would be empty. Now a good adjustment would be 1 gallon left of more conservatively 1.28 gallons left ( 50 miles at the rated combined mileage of 39 mpg on the hybrid) plenty conservative for even the most obstinate gas gauge ignorers

2024 NX350 Base
I went from filled to filler neck tippy top to run to a stall, eco mode... all flat commuting.
488 miles.
Put in 1/2 gallon to get to the gas station and put in 16.23 gallons.
Gauge reports 30.7 MPG

What kind of gas are you using. I only have 600 miles on a nx 350 f sport and it says I'm only getting 20.6 mpg. I know it needs to break in.

I want to ask all NX350 owner, not hybrids, what is your distance to empty? I want to ask this because I do mix driving with a avg of 22.9 mpg but never able to get over the 300 miles mark on distance to empty. I've taken my NX down to one tick left on the gauge and only could get 12 gallons into the tank while the manual states we have a 14.5 gallon tank.
