Default Dashboard display wouldn't turn on. What to do?

I have a brand new nx 350h and really have been enjoying it. However, after a brief trip today and a stop for about a half hour, I started the car and the dashboard display would not turn on. The entertainment display and the lights to the right and left of the dashboard display worked but neither the dashboard primary nor the head up display would come on. Car drove fine. A few minutes later, I tried starting again and everything worked fine. Has anyone experienced this and any ideas on what to do if this happens in the future?

I don't think this will reset the dash screen, only the infotainment screen is reset with this procedure.

Default Same Problem

I have just gone through the same issue. Out of the blue the driver display went blank on my 10 day old/90 miles 2024 Lexus 450h+. The Infotainment screen was fine but nothing on the multi-info driver display. And it never came back on. I've taken it to the dealership to fix and they said they had not seen this problem on this vehicle. I'm in a loaner and the service dept was great, but I'd welcome anyone's thoughts on this. Admittedly, I'm concerned whether this is indicative of widespread issues with the vehicle that simply haven't had time yet to manifest themselves.

In our instance it was a one time thing as it came back on the next time we started the vehicle (after it was resting for a few minutes). Took to dealership, and nothing came up on their diagnostic equipment. It hasn't happened again in over a month. May have just been a fluke thing, we hope.

I did realize that if this ever happens again, I could use WAZE on the infotainment screen to at least get the speed I am traveling at.

Good luck. I hope your system gets fixed shortly.

Which is pretty much what restarting did.

I suspect I have had this … but thought I had done something wrong so just automatically switched off then restarted. It may happen without being noticed.

Default Same issue with dash

My wife experienced the same issue on her 2024 NX 350. Only dash instrument cluster went dark, infotainment continued to work fine. She was able to capture it being dark on her phone. She was running an errand at the time, when she returned and started the vehicle everything was back to normal. I have encouraged her to take it to the dealership, show the video and get it checked out.

Do you know why Cntrl Alt Del was chosen as a reboot sequence? The answer is interesting

Arrg , then I guess I shouldn't mention ARPANET, Golpher, acoustic couplers , and TI Silent 700s?

We are having exactly the same problem on a NX 350h bought new in November. The meter display is just black. Problem not resolved after several restarts. I thought we might have dimmed the display by accident but the dimmer control has no effect. There doesn't seem to be any other setting that turns the display on or off. On the way to the dealer this afternoon.

Quick Reply: Dashboard display wouldn't turn on. What to do?
