Default Driving off w an ajar door, how do you close door if car is moving?

OK, I just got a NX350h and there have been a couple of instances in which we took off and while driving off, the beeper informed us we had an unlocked door.
The vehicle would not let us open the door in order to force the door closed and the only way to close the door was to pull over and come to a stop to open the door to pull it shut.
I obviously am new to the car, what do I need to do to shut the door while the vehicle is in motion?
What am I missing. (I have 80 miles on the odometer so obviously I am new to this car)

Thanks

Exclamation Pull over and shut door sorry

Doors are electronic and they lock until you put the car in P or shut it off. Sorry, but you are probably are going to have to pull over.

There are a lot of warnings that your doors are not shut; did you not get those warnings.

You also have warnings when rear seat belts are not latched even if no one is in back there latched show gray; unlatched show red. if all latched it doesn't display

YMMV,

This has happened to me. If I remember correctly, a double pull on the door handle allowed it to open to be then slammed shut.
It is an issue that doors can seem shut but pop open when moving.

Much better if they would power shut when almost closed. Soft Close!

Be sure to open some windows when re-shutting which will make it easier to close.
