NX 350 run flat warranty
Hi, just purchased an NX 350 but was not aware of run flat tires until signing all the paperwork. I was convinced I should take their warranty and of course you had to decide right then and there. Has anyone here taken out the warranty and is it a good idea? Now that I’m thinking about it not sure it’s worth it. It doesn’t cover Wear and tear and they’re telling me a run Flat tire cannot be plugged and they just replace with a new tire. More than likely if one tire Has to be replaced they will tell you you need to replace the other, but that would not be covered. They told me I could cancel at any time and I’m thinking maybe I should. Any thoughts?

I would have no problem with the OE RFTs. And when it was time to replace them I'd probably choose something like the Pirelli P Zero Nero All Season Run Flat Tires which has a 45,000 mile warranty.
I actually like the idea of RFTs on a SUV that doesn't have even a donut size spare.

As I said above there has already been a lot of thread discussion of RFTs; a lot of people have 20 inch tires. In the earlier gen2 years if you got Luxury you didn't have a choice between 18" and 20", you had to choose 20". Now you can get 18" on a loaded luxury NX

They only have your recommendation for 18" tire.

If I decided not to go with RFTs I would definitely choose the Pirelli AS Plus 3 tire with 70,000 mile warranty, which I feel sure comes in 18", 19" and 20" sizes.
