They said an IS 500 would never happen.
The UX is getting a big powertrain upgrade.
The NX 450 Plug in is dead in the water with chronic lack of availability for the foreseeable future due to the big battery unavailability.
Full F is dead.
Why not?

They already overlap the RX too much already. I doubt NX500h F Sport Performance will show up. If Lexus brings the RX to RX550h+ then maybe we will see a NX500h FSP. The UX upgrade is no where close to a BIG powertrain upgrade. 250h to 300h... only 18 additional horsepower. They changed it to the 5th gen hybrid system we see in the Prius. Maybe we will see a 5th generation hybrid system with the NX350h to NX400h and that could change the NX450h+ to NX500h+.

Yes, I already mentioned that in a previous forum post:

Better HUD current is only barely adequate.
ML for 450+
ML panorama window
updated batteries ( goes along with OP's increase in Hp) but extended range on both hybrid and PHEV
expanded option controls: better gas mpg options, when auto lights come on ( darker, brighter) , more statistics , data, high beam sensitivity
Non-RFT options, different tire, put the option for a spare back under trunk bed.
14 inch screen size is wasted on a single screen, go back to home screen concept with 2, 3, or 4 screens -one (1) screen sucks
Better handling options , beyond F-stop ( comfort, performance, custom . Much more damper, travel control. Even current F-sport is very limited.
Higher performance 500 turbo twin scroll v6 400 Hp.
Better Ambient lighting. More colors , higher/lower intensity range.
combine the memory seats, memory key, phone and driving key so they all work together. Redo profiles so you can have multiple. everything on a Lexus/Toyota should not be linked to one phone number. If you have one cell phone and multiple Toyota/Lexus cars, Toyota/Lexus cannot handle it well at all.
250h at 58mpg to complete with Prius
YMMV,

Are we likely to see a NX 400h and NX 500h plug in when the NX upgrades to the fifth generation hybrid system for the 2026 model year face lift?
They did it with the original NX. 200T became the 300. 300h became the 350h. The UX went from 250h to 300h.
It would justify further price increases as the loaded 350h fsport in Australia has already broken through the $100k Aus barrier.

As with the first gen NX from 200t to 300 is because Lexus decided to take out the "t" for a 2L turbo engine and made it 300 which means the performance is similar to a 3.0L engine. There is no difference. I do not recall the first gen NX300h ever change to 350. The 350h was introduced in the 2nd gen.
I'm addition, the NX450h+ is already fast enough. I rather they make the 450h+ more efficient over powerful making it being able to drive over 100km in EV in one charge.
