Lexi finally woke up from her coma today! No report on her condition, we're taking it day by day. She replied out of the blue to her good friend Iphone, who has been by her side talking softly into her ear thru this entire ordeal. We'll see if she continues to improve.

Sorry for the early optimism. She talked twice and went under again. Hoping for a miracle (tested update)....

Service said they couldn't go back to the older version that worked fine for everything.

Yup the document is dated May 28. Back in May I already said there was a 2170 release - it just took them 1 month to start pushing it to vehicles. Some owners still don't have it yet. "Hey Lexus" works fine with mine after the update as well.

Hey Lexus is gone, but for text reply. Activate the text and then at same time raise the volume **** even if you hear radio it will activate the volume for text, raise it high and speak text. Then it will default to that level.

Call Lexus dealer and was told that there was a glitch on Lexus server a month or so ago that is why some cars will not get the update OTA or USB unless Lexus dealer force it and that will fix future updates

Service dept techie guy unpaired, IOS phone update, and re-paired and it looks like text reply works again. Didn't try Apple Carplay directions or Hey Lexus/Siri yet.

After over a month not getting the update i tried USB trick that did not work
Call Lexus dealer and was told that there was a glitch on Lexus server a month or so ago that is why some cars will not get the update OTA or USB unless Lexus dealer force it and that will fix future updates

For those like myself that still dont have latest update
Lexus says that update come by vin number not any other way
Some people get that error cause there was a computer glitch and update was sent to everyone by mistake
If your Lexus didnt update or got an error wait it is coming to your vin number in order they decide I guess

I never received the update either, but as an Android user and that I almost never have any issues it seems the update doesn't have much to offer me. Bummer for those waiting for the update that use Car Play and looking forward to the new home button. I've been curious if Lexus telematics is aware of who is connecting with Car Play and focusing on those cars.

Once again, spoke too soon. Service said “sucks to be you, shoulda bought the 14” screen.” Did give the Lexus 1-800 CS #. Supposed to call us back tomorrow.
Edit to add: Service tried his phone and it didn't work, so he said it must be my phone. Logic anyone? Looks like they got my money, so on to the '25's. Not liking the lexus/toyota blowoff philosophy. I will ask CS if I can go back to the version that worked. I would say I wouldn't buy again, but what manufacturer doesn't have a load of electronic crap on it nowadays? Does anyone leave well enough alone if it works and doesn't send out an untested update? Unfortunate, because I think the 2.5 hybrid is a very good drivetrain. Might go Hyundai/Kia next time; it looks like they're trying. I am getting sick of taking this in all the time to try this try that on the screen, and nobody really has a clue. I feel service should be calling national for me to get an update version that works.
