My NX got stolen
#46
I am fortunate enough that the big financial loss on getting rid of the car so soon won't affect me too much but I'd really be angry buying this car if it did. Anyways, I really do like a lot about the car but the huge amount of issues combined with how frequently these things are targeted for theft... this just pushed me over the edge.

Looking at Tesla Model Y or doing a short term 2-year Polestar 2 lease on the promo in Canada ($350 / month) and then getting the Model Y Juniper refresh or Rivian R2 after the lease is done.
Honestly, I probably should have just got a Model Y in the first place; when I placed the order, Lexus assured me I would only need to wait 2-3 months for my car and it ended up being like 10 months so I basically got a 2022 when the 2023 models were about to come out. Had I known I would have needed to wait almost a year, I would never have bought it but they just strung me along and the Model Y pricing kept going up and up at that point (now its gone back way down).
For all the quality talk about Lexus, I don’t think I’ve had any car in the shop as much as my NX.

Is that still a concern? It seems to be mostly sorted out at this point. I don't see much complaints about this anymore. Most of the complaints I see are around harsh ride (should improve with the refresh), insurance cost, and tire life.

I can almost go PHEV, but I'm not even there yet
YMMV,

P.S. - At least the NX350h is usually my second favorite car

I've seen enough Tesla still not aligned.

I've heard that since the US has raised tariffs on Chinese EVs, Tesla is now dumping all the ones built in Shanghai into Vancouver. Elon is going to smuggle them into the US disguised as cans of tuna later this year
