Default glove compartment does not close

I opened my glove compartment today, made a strange noise, and now I'm not able to close it.
Has anyone else had this issue?
I assume that warranty would cover it, but if it's a quick fix I'd take care of it myself.
Thanks.

Take a look around, maybe one of the hinges that holds the door popped out; sounds like it, like it was not seated properly and now it just may be hanging on one hinge. Get some flash light and see how everything is attached on one side and see how it is on the other and see if everything connected as it should

Probably this^^ It’s designed to be removed so you can get to the cabin air filter.

I'm pretty sure you might be closing it incorrectly. I've opened my glove box three or four times to clean and check my cabin filter. I always follow this YouTube video for the procedure, and it has been really helpful. You might find it useful too.

So turns out that the dealer installed a new cabin filter during the 1 year service and didn’t put it back together correctly. I’ll either take it back or will deal with it myself when I have a chance.

Check if the glove compartment tabs are in correctly. Check the right latch.

Should be an easy fix. Video on changing filter and removing/putting back the glove compartment.

On a similar topic. I noticed that the glovebox, when closed properly, you can give a little push on it and it still moves in further, so there's a little 'slop' in the closed position. I thought this may have been an alignment issue or possibly a bad door assembly. Nope, dealer confirmed they all do it! So I'm keeping an eye / ear on it . If it begins to make noises because it's flapping about when driving I'll be taking it in to see what they can do.
