Never got an answer previously.What happens when the PIN Number is not entered.?

When are you getting the message to enter the PIN Number? Mine happens while driving as I have reported on another thread here. When that happens I am unable to use the Carplay functions such as navigation. I have found that I can enter the PIN or a quicker way is to just hit the Carplay icon (upper left corner of the screen) three times and then the info screen with Carplay is fully functioning. Another way is to reset the system by pressing the audio button for several seconds. The system reboots without having to enter the PIN number, at least in my experience.

Interestingly, the navigation audio does continue if the PIN is not entered, but the map is not present. This could be considered a safety issue, particularly if driving through a sketchy area.

Two things happened today when I got in the car. It wouldn't start until I put my key fob up to the start button. Then immediately I was asked for my PIN number. Thankfully I put a post-it note on the dash with the pin because I never can remember it. What's going on? Lexus is ganging up on me with stupid software controls.

Check your Lexus App for the vehicle health report, see if your key fob battery is showing a weak battery. Also, is your profile linked to your fob?

The health report shows no vehicle alerts. The smart key battery has a green check mark.

I don't no where to look for the profile link to the fob. Can you enlighten me?
