Alignment off and driver door rattles
Hey All,
I have my vehicle since end of Feb 2024. As I approach 4K, I noticed a few thing as come up.
1) Steering wheel alignment is off. It was pulling left. I have brought it to dealer and they fixed it from pulling left at 10 degrees but it's feel still off going 5 degrees to the right now. Another trip to dealer again.
2) The driver door sometimes rattles at freeway speeds and it's hard to pin point. I recall in one of the threads someone encountered the same thing but I didn't hear a resolution.
My vehicle has a J in the 1st letter so I'm assume it's made in Japan.
Nothing else to note at the moment.
Anyone encountered these issues or suggestions on item 2?
Thanks.

I've been fighting with several rattles and some of them were on the doors. I had to pull out the weird shaped piece that sticks out (where the ML speaker is if you have that option, or it's a decorative piece if you don't have the ML stereo) and put felt tape on various parts of it and that helped (it pulls out really easy). Still fighting a rattle in the B-pillar unfortunately.
Take it to your dealer, mine was good at first but once I figured out how some of the pieces pulled out I just started trying to fix it myself since it's much easier than taking it in over and over.
If you have the ML stereo, I can post pics of what's behind the speaker/decorative piece and where the latches are.

My rattle sounded like the drivers’s door and the dealer agreed when we test drove it together. But when they had it for the day they discovered it was a loose bracket on the panoramic roof. They packed it with felt and re-torqued the bolt. 26,000 miles later it has stayed away.🤞

I had a similar "rattle" in my '22 350H. I was able to track it down by pushing and pulling on all the areas on the door that might be causing it. It turned out to be rubbing between the plastic molding and the metal door frame on the side where the door latches are. I sprayed with a lubricant - problems solved!

Just an follow up update. The alignment finally got fixed (needed 2 trips unfortunately). I had to prove to a tech fore person on the 2nd time and a lead tech that it's an issue. The lead tech knew the issue once he drove it on the freeway on a long road. Now the NX drives smoother and also less tire rubbing sound. Not sure if faster thought.
