dome lights not bright
Hello,
I recently purchased a 2023 NX350 F sport with the black interior. When I am in my garage at night it is very hard to see anything inside my car. The dome lights are not bright at all. I am not referring to the ambient lighting by the dome lights. There are 4 in front and one in the very back. Is there a way I can make them brighter? Thanks for any help.

Yah, their brightness really is very terrible! I thought you had to maybe hold your finger on them for a few seconds and they would get brighter but no, another numbskull move by Lexus. The pool of light they provide is dismal, it doesn't diffuse out at all. I'm getting older and my night time vision isn't what it use to be, I mean a candle or lighter would be brighter! They're LEDS but I think someone on the forum looked into it and they aren't some standard bulb you can swap out. While you're up there take a look at how tiny the sunglass holder is! It may hold a kiddie pair but others have commented as well as me that there glasses don't fit.

There are a lot of lighting now days come as an assembly, so you cannot change one bulb or swap with a different/better one, or replace a burned one, you gotta replace the whole assembly, which is just expensive and dumb Dome light might be one of those, just do not quote me on that

I’m guessing that they are deliberately dim so as to preserve the charge in the inadequate 12v battery….🙄😡

Never remove the lens for the front interior light and personal lights. Otherwise, the lights will be damaged.
Not "may" be damaged, but "will" be damaged. LOL. I guess that means hoping someone creates a brighter aftermarket module. I know some of us have replaced the rear hatch light module with the brighter aftermarket one, but I personally have not seen any 3rd party light modules for the rest of the interior.

When you do get the cataract surgery , spend the extra bucks for the multifocal lens. 20/20 vision again and no night blindness ...... it's coming
