Yes, I did all services at the Dealer as recommended including rotations. I could probably make it another 5K miles to 27K and still be in permissible tread limits, but I like to trade-in early as traction starts to fade. Since hydroplaning and traction has been poor on the Alenzas even when new I want to replace before winter weather in the Northeast. Note that I am planning to stick with runflats and switch to the Continental CrossContact runflat which gets much better ratings. If anyone does not want run-flats though I certainly support the many here planning to switch to Michelin CrossClimates. I've had them on my prior RX and on my wife's Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and they are great tires. Once I make the purchase in a month or so I'll report back on my experience.

So I have a question. Are RF's safer than conventional tires? I had a massive puncture/blowout while driving on 100km/hr + on a highway. I heard a funny sound and then next thing I know the Lexus system is telling me my air pressure is dropping....it literally went from 30ish to 0 in a few secs. The car didn't even swerve or drive differently except it felt rough. Would I have had the same experience with regular tires?

Last and only time I recall a blowout was about 5 years ago. Was on the 402 Sarnia near London. Left lane @ 120. TPMS lights up on the dash, right front tire on my CMax blew out. Lots of thumping noise but no undue handling issues. I gripped the wheel a lot harder, just in case. . Got to the right shoulder and the tire sidewall was shredded, but no damage to the wheel. Towed (flatbed) to a local Ford store in London and they replaced the Michelin tire (forgot the name, but conventional) with a good discount from Michelin as they couldn't identify why the tire went flat in the first place because it was so damaged. On my way in about 1.5 hours.

Just picked up my 2025 350h. Offered me the tire, rim and windshield coverage for $1,900. Seems like a lot. But maybe worth it? Looking for opinions. Thanks.

Not worth it at all. After sale or during closing add-ons are almost pure profit for the car dealer. Tire is not covered by Lexus, but by the tire manufacturer. Rims very rarely fail. Lexus windshields are very expensive but
rarely fail. All Extended Warranty are big profit makers for Lexus.

Good Luck.

YMMV,

oh wow ok so no real difference. That sounds like my experience. Think I might go with the Michellin CC as well soon when I need to replace the tires.
