If you get a flat with a non-RFT, how does a compressor help?

I guess it depends on the nature of the flat. If it's a "blow - out" type flat the compressor may not help at all. But I sort of look at a compressor as a safety crutch, literally, when you are on a road trip. If you're plagued by a slow leak the compressor will allow you to get to a tire repair shop. If it's a fast leak, you can monitor the tpi and add air multiple times as necessary. Absent a blow-out situation, the compressor should at least allow you to get off the interstate and out of harms way.
