When does the 2022 NX come available
I have a 2018 NX 300 and my lease is up in April. Any news about the 2022 NX? I can extend my lease another six months!

The 2022 will be completely redesigned. Will be four inches longer and with possibly four engine types. six cylinder, four cylinder turbo, hybrid and a plug-in hybrid just like the RAV4. 42 mile electric range, 300 horsepower, 0-60 in 5.5 seconds and 40 mpg when using ICE. I will be first in line.

We can't really do anything here but speculate as to the size, specs or release dates of the next model since Lexus has not released any official information. However, with that said, they normally announce new vehicle information in late spring - like May/June and then they start appearing in showrooms between August and October. I haven't seen any information suggesting the 2022 NX will be any different. So to your point, I would try to get your lease extended if you are set on a 2022, but keep in mind there will be good deals on the 2021s next summer - assuming Lexus releases a new model for 2022. We are all "assuming" they will since they didn't keep to their typical six year cycle but we really don't know anything beyond automotive press speculation.

Possibly they will do like they have with the previous RX's, where they showed them (I believe) in January, available April/May timeframe. If Lexus does that, it would make the 2021 about a 10 month run as the 21's came out in Summer 2020. Lexus seems very good at keeping new models under wraps until they are ready for people to see them.

We shall see you next year at this time for those preorders.

The original NX came out in December of 2014 for model yr 2015 if I recall correctly. It was a very drawn out slow reveal almost for a year. I leased one shortly there after. It was a problem free vehicle but hated that touch pad. So I would expect Lexus to keep the 2022 under wraps and make you wait til who knows when.

It would probably be a bigger UX design if you were to guess.
