First look at the 2022 NX

Did anyone notice the back up camera while they were showing Remote Park feature?
The resolution looks pretty decent and nice wide view on that 14" screen.

what are they saying?
Very cool seeing them being produced on the assembly line. I really want one produced from Japan fit and finish is always the best. I remember my IS 350 and how perfect body panels lined up and more important how the space was the same all around the car between panels. Amazing to look at and feel the craftsmanship made from sheet metal.

So finally Lexus caved and put nearly everything into the touchscreen. What do you guys here think of the new Lexus touchscreen interface? Fortunately Lexus left in the dials for the temperature and volume control which I definitely appreciate, as well as having the off, AC, and recirculate "buttons" always visible on the screen. At least Lexus gets it, that some of these functions need to be directly accessible at all times. Looking at you, Tesla.
I'm definitely in the minority here, but I really really dislike touchscreen, and this is after driving a Tesla for 3yrs. I much much prefer physical buttons. With all the stuff we have now in all cars, I understand it's simply not possible to have all physical controls. Call me strange, but my favorite control was from the 3rd gen RX remote touch, to which I prefer over my current 2019 4th gen RX remote touch. I have not tried the touchpad on the current NX and RX, but I imagine I'll still prefer the remote touch joystick.

The more I look at the front end the more I like it and realize how much better it looks compared to what we've had for years... even with the F sport, which was a huge improvement to the over bite look...
The thing I just don't like about the interior is how bare/plain the passenger side dash looks. It just seems like something is serverly missing or lack of a trim piece/accent...etc. something.

When will Lexus provide the new NX for car reviewers for road testing? I’m starting to wonder if production is being pushed back for US with chip shortage.
BMW is already getting 2022 X3 and X4’s in their inventory.

I believe they are being initially produced in Japan, at least that is what the videos show. I imagine if the reviewers wanted to go to Japan, they could start doing their reviews.

first look at the 2022 NX
Had a 16 NX but sold it to a friend about 3 1/2 years ago. Long story short, leased an 18 BMW X3, nice car with good acceleration but had couple problems that had never happened with any of my four Lexus.
I plan to buy the 2022 NX, like the looks inside and out compared to earlier models, however I believe the front turn signals were LED and the rear ones were not on my 2016. Has anyone seen anything on this for the 22 NX?
I plan to buy the triple LED headlights along with the luxury pkg, so I'm assuming and hoping all lights are LED.
